Your information, explained simply.

Information we collect

BuildBase stores the account details needed to sign you in and manage your team, including your name, email address, team membership, and role.

We also store the workspace content you choose to add, support messages and screenshots you send, and limited information about your device used to deliver notifications, protect your account, and keep BuildBase working.

How we use information

We use this information to run BuildBase, sync team work, complete features you request, send requested notifications, respond to support, prevent misuse, and fix problems.

BuildBase does not sell personal information, show third-party ads, or track people across other apps and websites.

Usage and error reports

We use service providers to understand which parts of BuildBase people use and to find and fix crashes and errors. They receive limited information about your device or browser, how you use BuildBase, and problems you encounter. This can include information that distinguishes one device or browser from another. The website uses cookies to understand usage. We do not use this information to personalize advertising.

We require service providers that handle your information to protect it consistent with this policy.

Usage reports record which screens you visit. Website error reports do not include your workspace content, invitation codes, or account details.

Voice input

With your permission, the iPhone app converts voice input into text. BuildBase does not store microphone recordings. Submitted text is handled like other workspace content.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep personal information only while it is needed to provide BuildBase, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or protect the service. We take steps to protect your information and limit who can access it.

Deleting your account immediately ends your workspace access and clears your name, email, profile photo, saved preferences, and notification settings. We then remove your sign-in account, support conversations and screenshots, personal notifications, and saved Capture history. If deletion is interrupted, you can retry it.

We keep a limited record that your account was deleted. Shared team content, including contributions associated with your former account, remains so teammates keep their history. It no longer links to an active profile.

Your choices

You can manage notifications and account details in Settings. You can request help or delete your account after signing in. For access, correction, or privacy questions, visit Support.

Students

Team leaders should invite students only when permitted by their school, team, and parent or guardian requirements.
